My Story
Hello, my name is Danielle. I am an artist, vaquera, and nature-lover.
Yegua Arts was born out of my journey to find myself again following a personal crisis and a year of soul searching. What I came back to are the things that I have always loved: horses, nature, and creating beautiful things for everyday life.
I am currently living in Baja California in my off-grid container home, with my mares Jade and Roci and my dog, Loba. I find inspiration all around me, from the natural plants and landscapes of baja, and horses (of course!). My work brings together my background as a painter and experience as a couture designer, fusing fine art with apparel. I use only high quality natural materials such as silk, linen, cotton and hemp, and employ sustainable eco-friendly practices to conserve water and care for the earth. Each piece is hand-crafted by yours truly, and is one-of-a-kind just like you! I hope that when you wear one of my garments you will feel your authentic self – irreplaceable, perfectly imperfect, and infinitely valuable – shining through. True beauty is alround us and within us, we need only open our eyes! Thank you taking the time to read my story and share in my journey.
